Understand what Appointment Booking does and how a booking works from the storefront through to your Shopify order.
Appointment Booking by Genie Apps lets Shopify merchants sell bookable services. Customers pick a staff member, location, date, and time on your product or cart page, then complete checkout as a normal Shopify order.
What customers book
Each service is a real Shopify product. When a customer books, they choose:
Staff — the team member who will do the appointment.
Location — where the appointment happens.
Date and time — available slots based on the service hours and staff availability.
Their details — name, email, phone, and any custom questions you add to the service.
What happens after a booking
The booking is saved in the app and linked to a Shopify order (or a draft order if payment is still pending). You can view upcoming bookings on the Dashboard and manage them from the Bookings page.
Service types
Regular / Basic — customer picks a date and a time slot.
Multiday — customer picks a start date and an end date.
Fullday — customer books whole days without time slots.
Bundle — customer can select multiple separate slots in one booking.
